Established in 1903, Blackburn Chamber of Trade was founded to give strength of numbers behind any problem a buisness could be facing. This could be local or national bureaucracy, employer conflict, rules and regulations, grant information, whom to contact at the Town Hall for Planning Regulations or Licence requirements or simply the dates for the Wakes Weeks holidays and Bank Hoilidays.

The Chamber is constantly in discussion with elected Council Members and Council Staff to seek best practice for a wide variety of issues that enable the businessess of Blackburn with Darwen to operate viably and in pleasing surroundings that will attract more business into Blackburn or shoppers to Blackburn's retail sector.

In 2003 the Chamber in Blackburn celebrated its Centenary Year and over the last 100 years, on behalf of our members, we have responded to a very wide variety of challenges and queries. We care for our members and are always here to help.

Blackburn Chamber of Trade is the strongest in East Lancashire and it is always possible to make quick and easy contact with us. All discussions are treated in the strictest confidence. If you advise the office of any problems being encountered in the running of your business then the Chamber will use the strength of numbers to work on your behalf.
